Crochet teddy bear in blue sweater pattern

Teddy bears are one of the first and most popular crochet toys. And for good reason! Teddy bears are cute, fluffy and look great in sweaters. So I couldn’t resist and simply had to create my own bear! I invite you to try out a bear as desined by lelia.

LEVEL: beginner/intermediate

MATERIALS

  • crochet hook (I used 2.25 mm)
  • ecru yarn (I used Phildar Phil Cabotine)
  • light blue yarn (I used Phildar Phil Cabotine)
  • black safety eyes 8 mm
  • black embroidery thread
  • fiberfill
  • tapestry needle
  • scissors
  • stitch markers

ABBREVIATIONS

  • sc: single crochet stitch (here you can find a tutorial which will help you make a single crochet stitch)
  • inc: increase (two single crochet in one stitch) (here you can find a tutorial which will help you make an increase)
  • dc: double crochet
  • dc inc: double crochet increase (two double crochet in one stitch)
  • dec: invisible decrease
  • ch: chain
  • slst: slip stitch
  • BLO: back loops only (crochet through back loops only) (here you can find a tutorial on how to use the back loop only)
  • FLO: front loops only (crochet through front loops only) (here you can find a tutorial on how to use the front loop only)
